Thank You Canada Tour
Wednesday, October 20, 2010
Crossroads Founder David Mainse is grateful to God and YOU for almost 50 years of TV ministry in Canada, and he wants to spend some informal, quality time with Crossroads partners and viewers to say "Thank You!" David would love to connect with you at one of his "town hall style" meetings to be held in over 100 communities across Canada during 2010 and 2011.
"I hope to personally visit with you to thank you for the foundation of faith you've helped to establish in our great nation through your support of Crossroads/100 Huntley Street. You have a history of caring for the future, and as we look toward the next 10 years to 2020, if Jesus delays His return, your ideas and input will help Crossroads to have 20/20 vision! SEE YOU SOON..." ~ David
Be sure to attend one of these inspiring get-togethers when David is in YOUR area.
Townhall Meeting - 7:30 - 9:00PM

Clergy Luncheon
As I travel the country on my "Thank You Canada" tour, I'm looking forward to visiting with many clergy in each community. In addition to the privilege of connecting, encouraging and praying with pastors, one of the purposes for our clergy luncheons is to facilitate research on the state of the Church in Canada. Several divinity college professors, including a member of our Crossroads Board of Directors, Dr. Bruce Fawcett of Acadia University Divinity College, have collaborated on a series of questions which pastors are being asked to answer. Pastors sitting around tables will first be asked to appoint a secretary to write down the general consensus of the group (approximately 30 minutes). Then each individual will be asked to complete their own personal answers (this may take another 15 minutes or so). At the very least, this study will become a widely distributed academic paper, and there is a good chance it may also be published as a book. Quotes from individuals (names, Churches, communities) as well as group answers will be included, and you can expect a series of reports on the web as well.
Clergy Luncheon - 12:00 - 1:30PM
